Erik with a K is about the lives of four artists in Paris from the years 1887 through 1925: composer Erik Satie, painter and trapeze artist Suzanne Valadon, can-can dancer Louise Weber aka "La Goulue", and composer Claude Debussy. Erik with a K observes how artists choose to re-invent themselves, or not, as they move through their creative and personal lives, and the cost of those choices. From Erik Satie to Picasso to Madonna to David Bowie to Beyonce, the world has been rocked by those artists at the vanguard who refuse to be pigeon-holed.
